Field process
From scope lock to a findings pack you can hand to management
Our fixed asset register audits follow a repeatable sequence so plant escorts, finance contacts, and practitioners share the same expectations before anyone walks a line.
Engagement sequence
1. Briefing call
We confirm legal entities, site addresses, register format, cut-off date, and whether statutory auditors will rely on our exception schedule. You leave with a short list of extracts to prepare.
2. Scope memorandum
Written scope covers buildings in scope, sampling approach, estimated field days, travel assumptions within Taiwan, and deliverables. Fieldwork does not start until you accept the memo.
3. Desk preparation
Practitioners review the register extract, flag high-value and mobile strata, and draft sample lists. You review the lists so escorts and locked-room access can be arranged.
4. Physical verification
Teams walk agreed locations with plant escorts, match tags and descriptions, and log exceptions with provisional causes before leaving the site.
5. Reconciliation workshop
Finance joins a working session to classify exceptions: relocation, scrap without retirement, duplicate IDs, or true shortages. Posting decisions remain with your team.
6. Findings pack
You receive coverage notes, exception schedules, recommended register adjustments, and open questions. Suitable for management and for sharing with your statutory auditor.
